• The 50/50 Women on Boards (WOB) - Los Angeles Conversation on Board Leadership served as a premier gathering for aspiring board leaders and business executives. Held at the California Endowment
in downtown Los Angeles, the event was exceptionally well attended, with over 300 people coming together to gain candid governance insights and engage in strategic networking. Through a program that
included welcome remarks by Betsy Berkhemer-Credaire, a networking lunch, and a keynote panel of corporate directors, the event focused on the preparation and sustained visibility required to secure
meaningful board positions.
• The success of the day was made possible by the dedicated sponsors, 50/50 WOB staff, and professionals who volunteered to serve as director coaches, Leadership/Planning Committee members,
and event helpers. Colleen Diles is a member of the committee and served as a volunteer at the event, helping to facilitate an environment where participants could expand their networks and take
strategic steps toward board service.
• A major highlight of the afternoon was the small-group table coaching sessions, which provided participants with direct access to experienced directors. One of these impactful discussions
was led by director coach Jeanine Wright, CEO and Board Member. Wright shared her own path to becoming a board member and provided steady advice on board readiness, guiding attendees through the
nuances of building the trusted relationships necessary for corporate governance.
